MOOV Money is a digital wallet that provides users with an instant, secure, and easy solution for making various payments, purchases, transfers, mobile top-ups, and much more.
MOOV Money is more than just an e-wallet. With every deposit, withdrawal, money transfer, or payment, customers enjoy a wide range of benefits. By activating their MOOV Money account, they gain access to a comprehensive suite of basic and value-added services.

In addition, MOOV Money offers proximity services through a vast network of partner agents, MOOV Mauritel branches, and accepting merchants. This extensive coverage ensures optimal accessibility and convenience for users in their daily transactions.

The MOOV Money app was developed by MOOV Money Mauritel, a subsidiary of Mauritel S.A, the leading telecommunications provider in Mauritania and a subsidiary of the Maroc Telecom Group.
MOOV Money Mauritel is a licensed payment institution authorized by the Central Bank of Mauritania, under license number 23GR2023. 

MOOV Money Mauritel provides its customers with an electronic money wallet that complies with BCM regulations. It is accessible via a mobile app available on Android and iOS platforms, as well as through USSD functionality.

Account

1. You can access the MOOV Money digital wallet by downloading the MOOV Money app from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Go to the Apple Store or Google Play, search for 'Moov Money', download the app, and follow the instructions to activate your Moov Money account.

To activate your MOOV Money account from the MOOV Money mobile app, simply follow these steps:

  1. On the main screen of the app, enter the phone number you wish to link to the MOOV Money application.
  2. You will then be asked to accept the general terms and conditions of use. To do this, check the box “I confirm that I have read and accepted the terms and conditions of use.”
  3. You will receive a one-time OTP code via SMS. This OTP (One-Time Password) is a secure code used only once. It allows you to access your MOOV Money app so you can set your PIN code.
  4. Once the code is entered, the main menu of the MOOV Money app will appear on your screen. You will need to change your PIN and enter your account details. At this stage, make sure to have your National Identification Number (NNI) or residence permit handy.

To change your PIN:

  1. Click on “My Account” at the bottom right of your screen.
  2. Then click on “Change PIN.” You will be prompted to enter your old PIN in the “Old PIN Code” field.
  3. Enter and confirm your new PIN in the corresponding fields, then click confirm.
  4. You will be redirected to the home page to log in again using your new PIN.

Identification Details:
You will also be asked to enter the information related to your NNI or residence permit.
In accordance with regulatory requirements, the identification details you provide will be verified with the competent authorities. Once this authentication is complete, you will be able to fully enjoy all the innovative features and services of MOOV Money

Yes, absolutely. Although MOOV Money Mauritel is a subsidiary of Mauritel S.A, MOOV Money accounts can be opened by anyone with a valid national identification number, regardless of their mobile operator.

If you wish to change the phone number linked to your MOOV Money account, you will need to close the existing account and open a new one with the desired phone number.

MOOV Money allows you to change the language of your account directly from the MOOV Money app:

  • Option 1: When logging into the app, you can select your preferred language from the top left corner of the interface.
  • Option 2: From the main interface of the app:
  1. Click on “My Account”
  2. Click on “Change Language”
  3. Select your preferred language from the available options

Security

The PIN code is used to ensure the security of your account and to authorize your transactions.

The PIN code is confidential. For your safety, it should never be shared.
Also, avoid using easily guessable codes such as your phone number or date of birth.

If you forget your PIN code, you can reset it by contacting customer service at 123.

You will be asked a series of authentication questions to confirm that the request was genuinely initiated by you.

 

Yes, absolutely. To do so, go to the main interface of your MOOV Money app and follow these steps:

  1. Click on “My Account” at the bottom right of your screen;
  2. Select “PIN Management”; 
  3. Select “Reset PIN”;
  4. Resetting your PIN will automatically lock your account. An initial PIN will be sent to your phone via SMS. You will then be prompted to change this initial PIN immediately to reactivate your account.

Yes, absolutely. To reset your PIN, go to the main interface of your MOOV Money app and follow these steps:

  1. Click on “My Account” at the bottom right of your screen;
  2. Select “Login Settings”;
  3. Toggle the “Login with Fingerprint” switch;
  4. You will be prompted to register your fingerprints in the app. Once completed, you’ll be able to log in using your fingerprint.

Services

MOOV Money offers a wide range of services, all accessible from your phone:

  • Opening a MOOV Money account remotely, without needing to travel;
  • Depositing money from your phone or at an authorized MOOV Money agent;
  • Withdrawing money from your phone or at an authorized MOOV Money agent;
  • Sending and receiving money to and from a MOOV Money account, another mobile wallet, or a partner bank account;
  • Purchasing goods and services at retail outlets: grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations, and other merchants;
  • Paying bills: water, electricity, Internet, etc.;
  • Mobile top-ups;
  • Purchasing MOOV Mauritel bundles;
  • Paying taxes, duties, and administrative fees;
  • Bulk payments;
  • Salary payments; 
  • Generating a static QR code for your business;
  • Generating a dynamic QR code for any transaction;
  • Checking your account balance at any time;
  • Viewing the history of your recent transactions at any time;
  • Downloading a receipt for your transactions;
  • Changing your login settings.

Deposit and Withdrawal

You can fund your MOOV Money account in two different ways: 

  • Make a physical cash deposit at your nearest MOOV Money agent
  • Transfer funds from another mobile wallet account

Withdrawing physical cash from your MOOV Money account is quick and easy:

  1. Go to the nearest authorized MOOV Money agent;
  2. Open your MOOV Money app and log in;
  3. From the main screen of the app, click on “Services” at the bottom of the interface;
  4. Select “Withdraw”; 
  5. Enter the agent code in the designated field, or click the icon to the right of the field to withdraw using a QR code;
  6. Select or enter the amount you wish to withdraw, then click send;
  7. Enter your PIN code to confirm the transaction.

Transfers

To transfer money from your mobile app to a recipient with a MOOV Money account, simply follow these steps:

  1. Click on “Money Transfer”;
  2. Enter the recipient’s phone number or select it from your phone’s contact list. For first-time use, the app will ask for permission to access your contacts; 
  3. Enter the amount you wish to transfer, then click confirm. A summary of the transaction will appear on your screen, showing the recipient’s number, the transaction amount, and any associated fees;
  4. Once you’ve confirmed the payment, enter your PIN code to complete the transfer.
Withdrawing physical cash from your MOOV Money account is very simple:
  1. Go to the nearest authorized MOOV Money agent;
  2. Open your MOOV Money app and log in;
  3. From the main screen of the app, click on “Services” at the bottom of the interface;
  4. Tap on “Withdraw”;
  5. Enter the agent code in the designated field, or tap the icon to the right of the field to withdraw using a QR code;
  6. Select the amount you wish to withdraw, or enter the amount in the appropriate field, then click “Send”;
  7. Enter your PIN code to confirm the transaction.

Payments

With MOOV Money, you can pay for your purchases at any merchant in the MOOV Money acceptance network—shops, pharmacies, cafés, gas stations, and more. To do so, simply:
  1. Click on “Payment” from the main screen of your app;
  2. Enter the merchant code;
  3. You can also pay using a dynamic QR Code. Just click on “Scan QR Code,” and the payment will be completed.
Absolutely. You can purchase mobile credit directly from your MOOV Money app by following these steps:
  1. On the main screen of the app, click on “Buy Credit”;
  2. MOOV Money allows you to buy mobile credit either for yourself or for any Moov Mauritel number of your choice:
    • To top up your own number, no action is needed—your number is automatically displayed in the “Buy Credit” menu;
    • To top up another Moov Mauritel number, enter it in the designated field, or select it from your contact list by clicking the icon on the right side of the input field;
    • You can either subscribe to a Moov Mauritel package or freely top up a Moov Mauritel number.
  3. To subscribe to a Moov Mauritel package:
    1. Select the package option just below the phone number field;
    2. Enter the amount of the desired package;
    3. Confirm the payment;
    4. Activate the selected package;
    5. Enter your PIN code;
    6. You will receive a confirmation SMS with the type of package activated and the recharged amount.
  4. To freely top up a number:
    1. Click on “Top Up” at the top of the “Buy Credit” menu interface;
    2. Select or enter the top-up amount in the appropriate field, then click “Next”;
    3. Confirm the payment;
    4. Enter your PIN code;
    5. You will receive a confirmation SMS with the recharged amount.

This feature will soon be available with MOOV Money.

  1. From the main screen of the app, select “Telcos”;
  2. Enter your customer account number;
  3. Select the bill(s) you wish to pay: You can choose to pay all outstanding bills, make a partial payment, or pay upcoming bills in advance.

Inquiries

You can check your Moov Money balance from the main screen of the mobile app. By default, it is hidden and located at the top right of the interface. To view it, simply click on the “closed eye” icon.

 

You can view the history of your recent transactions from the main screen of your app by clicking on “History.” This will give you access to a complete list of your previous transactions. From this section, you can also:
  • View the details of each transaction;
  • Download the receipt for each transaction and save it to your phone;
  • Filter transactions by type (transfer, merchant payment, credit purchase, etc.).

Agents and Support

All authorized agents hold an official license allowing them to operate on behalf of MOOV Money Mauritel. This license is clearly displayed at the agent’s location. Authorized agents are easily identifiable from the outside thanks to MOOV Money signage. They all display exterior signs featuring the MOOV Money logo.
Go to the MOOV Money website at www.moov-money.mr. Under the “Agents” tab, click on “Our Network of Authorized Agents.” There, you can view the list of agents closest to your geographic location.
If your account is blocked for any reason, you must immediately contact MOOV Money customer service at 123.
